TECHBUY WARRANTY STANDARD

Three core commitments

01

A documented timeline

The intake receipt records the device condition, included accessories and expected completion date.

02

No lost warranty days

Time spent in warranty service is not deducted from the remaining warranty term.

03

A final remedy

A similar replacement or refund applies when an eligible fault cannot be remedied within the stated time.

01
Scope

1. Scope

This policy covers laptops, desktops, custom PCs, components, monitors, peripherals and accessories purchased from a TECHBUY store or the TECHBUY website.

Display, used, refurbished, gift or specially covered products follow the scope and term disclosed before purchase. Commercial-purpose transactions may also be governed by a separate contract without limiting mandatory consumer rights.

02
Order of application and service provider

2. Order of application and service provider

Service may be performed by TECHBUY, a manufacturer, distributor or authorized service center. TECHBUY remains responsible for its own warranty commitments and continues to support the customer when work is assigned to another provider.

  • Mandatory Vietnamese law;
  • Specific commitments confirmed on the order, invoice, warranty certificate, product page or promotion;
  • Applicable manufacturer or distributor warranty terms;
  • The remaining provisions of this general policy.
03
Warranty start date and term

3. Warranty start date and term

Coverage starts on the completed-sale date, delivery date or digital activation date stated on the warranty certificate. The disclosed product term may be 6, 12, 24, 36 months or another stated period.

Time spent in warranty service does not count toward the warranty term. Coverage for a replaced part restarts on the replacement date, and coverage for a replacement product restarts on the product replacement date.

04
Eligibility for free warranty service

4. Eligibility for free warranty service

A paper certificate is not required when TECHBUY can verify the transaction electronically. Reasonable purchase information may be requested when system records are insufficient.

  • The product remains within its warranty term;
  • The transaction can be identified by an order, invoice, warranty code, Serial, IMEI, Service Tag or equivalent identifier;
  • The fault is covered by TECHBUY, the manufacturer or distributor;
  • No exclusion in Section 10 applies.
05
Warranty coverage and remedies

5. Warranty coverage and remedies

Covered repairs and replacement parts are provided without charge. TECHBUY will give advance notice when a proposed remedy may materially change the configuration, data or use of the product.

  • Inspection, diagnosis and repair of covered faults;
  • Replacement with a new or technically equivalent part that meets safety and performance requirements;
  • Necessary firmware, driver, operating-system or configuration work;
  • A similar replacement or refund in the circumstances described in Section 8;
  • Status tracking through the warranty or service-case code.
06
30-day replacement policy

6. 30-day replacement policy

The 30-day replacement benefit applies only where “30-day replacement” appears on the product page, order or warranty certificate. The period runs for 30 calendar days from receipt or activation, as recorded on the certificate.

  • A covered hardware fault occurs within 30 days;
  • The fault is confirmed by TECHBUY, the manufacturer or an authorized service center;
  • The product identifier matches the sales record;
  • The product and related supplied accessories are returned for verification.
07
Registration and intake process

7. Registration and intake process

An online request is an initial registration. Physical intake is confirmed after the device has been checked with the customer or successfully delivered to TECHBUY.

  • Register through the TECHBUY warranty page, phone, email or a store;
  • Provide the order or warranty code, purchase phone number, device identifier and fault description;
  • TECHBUY records the identifier, cosmetic condition, accessories and reported fault;
  • A paper or digital receipt states the case code, intake date and expected completion time;
  • Track progress with the warranty or service-case code.
08
Timing, temporary products and unsuccessful repairs

8. Timing, temporary products and unsuccessful repairs

The expected completion time is recorded on the intake receipt and depends on the fault, parts and service-provider process. TECHBUY will explain delays and provide an updated date.

During service, TECHBUY will provide a similar temporary product or agree another suitable arrangement with the customer. Any temporary handover is documented.

TECHBUY will provide a similar new replacement or accept return and refund the amount paid when an eligible fault cannot be remedied by the stated deadline, or when three or more warranty services during the term have still not remedied the covered fault.

09
Repair and transport costs

9. Repair and transport costs

For an eligible warranty claim, TECHBUY bears repair costs and two-way transport costs between the customer’s residence or place of use and the warranty location.

For an out-of-warranty case, TECHBUY provides the diagnosis, proposed work, cost and estimated time. Chargeable work begins only after customer approval. Any other charge must be disclosed in advance.

10
Exclusions from free warranty service

10. Exclusions from free warranty service

  • Drops, impact, deformation, cracks, liquid, fire, insects or other external physical damage;
  • Unsuitable power, electrical short circuits or non-compliant chargers, power supplies, cables or accessories;
  • Natural disaster, fire or force majeure;
  • Use, transport, storage, cleaning, installation or upgrades contrary to instructions;
  • Unauthorized repair or modification where the intervention relates to the fault;
  • An altered identifier that prevents product verification;
  • Normal wear, consumables or battery degradation within technical limits unless separately covered;
  • Viruses, unlicensed software, third-party apps or devices unless a covered hardware fault caused the issue;
  • Cosmetic change that does not affect function.
11
Data, accounts and supplied accessories

11. Data, accounts and supplied accessories

Customers should back up data, sign out of important accounts and provide only the test access reasonably required. Service may require an operating-system reinstall, reset or data removal; notice will be provided where this can be identified in advance.

Only relevant chargers and accessories should be submitted. TECHBUY records the received condition, identifiers and accessories, protects customer information and limits data access to what is necessary for service or legal obligations.

12
Customer responsibilities

12. Customer responsibilities

  • Provide accurate transaction details and a complete fault description;
  • Follow operating, storage and safety instructions;
  • Back up data and retain account-access information;
  • Check the device, accessories and result before signing for return;
  • Respond within the stated time to quotations, replacement proposals and information requests.
13
Defective products and recalls

13. Defective products and recalls

Where a defect may harm life, health or property, TECHBUY will warn customers, stop supply, cooperate in recall and apply remedies required by law and relevant manufacturer or authority notices.

Recall, return, refund and compensation rights for defective products are separate and are not lost merely because a commercial warranty term has expired.

14
Complaints and dispute resolution

14. Complaints and dispute resolution

Contact TECHBUY at 0981112112, cskh@techbuy.vn, through online support or at a store. TECHBUY will acknowledge a consumer request or complaint within three working days.

The parties will first seek negotiation or mediation. Customers may also contact the competent consumer-protection authority, a consumer organization, agreed arbitration or a competent Vietnamese court.

15
Effective date and changes

15. Effective date and changes

This policy takes effect when officially published by TECHBUY. Updates will show their effective date.

New terms apply prospectively and cannot reduce previously established warranty rights. If one provision becomes inconsistent with law, the remainder continues to apply to the extent permitted.
