Apple does not list the iPad Gen 7 as compatible with iPadOS 26. Ask for your school's app names, check their operating-system requirements in the App Store, then try signing in, opening documents and joining a call. An app working previously does not guarantee future updates will support the device. Choose a different generation if the required software needs a newer system than this iPad supports.

Advertised capacity is not entirely free space: the operating system and apps use some of it. Consider 32GB for modest data needs with regular connectivity, and compare 128GB if you download lessons, books or many PDFs. Check the actual free space in iPad Storage. Built-in capacity cannot be upgraded. A larger version does not change the processor or software support.

The Wi-Fi version uses wireless networks or a phone hotspot. Wi-Fi + Cellular adds mobile data with a suitable plan; it is not a direct replacement for a conventional SIM calling phone. Test the coverage and connection method required if studying in different places. For home, school or regular phone-hotspot use, compare the device price and data-plan cost before choosing Cellular.

The iPad Gen 7 supports Apple Pencil 1st generation, not every Apple Pencil. Confirm the model, pair it and write across different areas of the screen before buying. Ask whether a Pencil or keyboard is included with the used unit. Accessories shown in illustrations are not automatically included. Test Touch ID, touch response across the display, speakers, microphone, cameras and Lightning charging. Open documents or video for a while to observe the battery rather than assuming a new-device runtime. The previous account and Activation Lock must be removed for setup with your account.
